"My first design for a perennial border here was 30-feet long and contained 72 varieties of plants, in multiples! Experience has given me a great affection for simplicity."

–Ann Brooke

Our way of planting renders outdoor environments that blend the formal with the exuberant. Beautifully proportioned, perfectly detailed flower beds, secret or sunken gardens, ivy covered walls, rolling lawns, simple trellises adorned with wisteria.
Ideas of simplicity and depth produce magical effects. Waves of dark green behind waves of lighter plants suggest light and shadow. And pleasures far from simple: walking through an allee of mature lindens, passing by swathes of color, soaking up the fragrance of lilacs, honeysuckle, lilies. Planting adorns the landscape.

"It satisfies a deep primeval urge to put into the earth something that one day will be manifestly different to what I am holding in my hand: a seed, a slip or an acorn. Whether the seeds are scattered on barren or cultivated land, their potential invades the imagination."

–Mirabel Osler
